Starting on 5th July 2009, Kieren successfully walked the length of Hadrian's Wall. Over the 6 days and 84 miles come rain, hail or shine, he followed the course of the wall all the way across the country from Bowness-on-Solway to Wallsend in aid of the Charlie Crowe Appeal!
Kieren said “It was a challenging 6 days of walking, certainly the furthest I had ever walked, but it was worth it for a good cause!”
A big thank you to all who supported Kieren.
Charlie Crowe is the last remaining member of the 1950’s triple FA Cup winning Newcastle United team. Alzheimer’s disease has now taken its toll on Charlie and his life has changed. He wants to support research into his condition to help find a cure. His goal is to raise £1.5 million to fund a new scanner to help speed world-leading research at Newcastle into Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and other diseases of old age.
