• Newcastle Races:

Staff from the MR Centre held a bucket collection at Newcastle Racecourse  on the evening of Friday 25th June.

• The Blaydon Race 2010: 

           A big thank you to the organisers of the 2010 Blaydon Race

           for  having chosen the Charlie Crowe Scanner Appeal

           as their race charity.  Many thanks to all runners who took

           part in the race to raise funds for the Appeal. 

• Brian Bowman and the Tyneside Shadows Guitar Club held a two day music festival at the Federation Brewery on 19th and 20th of June, donating all proceeds to the Appeal.  Brian and the Club members deserve an extra round of applause as this is the third time they have held such a concert in aid of the Appeal.  

          Thank you to all those involved.

• Many thanks to Eva Kenny from the Newcastle Magnetic Resonance Centre who ran the Brighton Marathon on the 18th of April 2010 in aid of the Appeal.  Eva completed the 26.2 miles in 3hrs 47mins, breaking a personal record.   Well done Eva!

• Thanks to the pupils of Woodlea Primary School for taking part in a "Football Fun Day" on 12 March 2010.  They braved the poor weather  conditions for a sponsored penalty shoot-out and succeeded in raising a fantastic sum of money for the Appeal.
